prompting a family portrait
My attraction to the mystical head-template-stamp idea lingered, so I made a few more basic head shape stamps to use with my ArtLab students. The idea of making “family portraits” solidified when my neighbor gave me a gorgeous roll of a long strip of heavy watercolor paper. The children counted their family members, chose their stamp and printed their strip of paper.
Then, with colored pencils, they drew portraits of their families,
and wrote their names above or below the heads.
