parallax photo exhibit

I learned this week that my photograph, Holding On, Letting Go #22, was selected for Parallax, The Women’s Photography Exhibition at the Gormley Gallery at Notre Dame of Maryland University. The juror was Martha Madigan, professor of photography (since 1979) at the Tyler School of Art, and an artist whose work I’ve always admired. In an earlier post, I wrote about Holding On, Letting Go, which is the fourth series in twelve years of works, collectively entitled “Illuminating the Negative.”

Are you in or near Baltimore? The Parallax exhibition opens February 4 and runs through March 15. The artist’s reception is on Saturday, February 9, from 4 to 6 pm. Ms. Madigan will give a gallery talk on Monday, March 4 at noon:
